Biography Aaron Samuel Williams was born on January 3rd 1984, only a few days after the new year. Though his mama always liked to joke that he was a few days late to the new year, Aaron was born four weeks prematurely. From the beginning, Aaron had not been planned or expected--his mother didn't know she was pregnant until halfway through her second trimester--and the family had very little time to prepare before Aaron was born. One of three children, Aaron had many factors in his life that made him a fighter.

In grade school, Aaron was a small child. Though he had no hard time fitting in with the other kids, he wanted to play sports. Being small and skinny, he didn't fit the standard profile of an athlete, even at a young age. Still he tried, playing as many sports as he could. He had better luck with baseball, but he had a desire to play football--as he got older, Aaron worked hard in the gym and even harder on the field. His work ethic began to pay off as he got older, as his body began to catch up and develop as a young man. High school found him excelling at nearly every offensive position on the football field--he usually played quarterback, but really excelled as a wide receiver.

Recruiters flew from across all parts of the country to meet him in Harlem, trying to recruit him to their football programs. He eventually signed to LSU to play as a wide receiver, starting as a freshman. He excelled well enough to earn a nomination for the Heisman in his freshman year--he lost out to an upperclassman from another school, but that only gave him encouragement to try harder. The following year, he won the Heisman trophy--which still resides in his office today--and his junior year found him declaring his eligibility for the NFL Draft in 2005. Because his following season hadn't been as dominant and he hadn't been nominated for a third Heisman, Aaron dropped to 7th pick in the 2005 NFL Draft--much lower than he expected--to the Atlanta Falcons. His rookie season started off with a bang--he signed a rather lucrative contract with the Falcons after training camp, and the Falcons performed well with Aaron as their starting wide receiver. However, tragedy struck--a dirty play by a defensive back gave Aaron a spinal cord injury in his neck. Not wanting to risk permanent damage and possible paralysis, he begrudgingly retired from professional football.

After taking time to feel sorry for himself, Aaron went on a search for a new home. Rather than returning to Harlem, he found himself returning to Boston after he'd had an enjoyable experience during a road game against the Patriots. He began looking into local businesses, and found a hole-in-the-wall bar that seemed to be on the verge of going under. He took the bar under his wing--having no professional bartending experience--and revamped it, bringing in younger and more sports-minded clientele. The owner, nearing the end of his life, happily handed the bar over to Aaron shortly before passing away. Since then, Aaron has turned the bar into a local establishment that specializes in good blues music, group gatherings, board games, sports specials, and a big, happy family.
